Entry and Customs in Cyprus

Customs

A passport is required upon entry into Cyprus, and no visa is required for any stay in Cyprus less than 90 days. If you have such an amazing time and decide to just plant some roots and live in Cyprus, keep in mind that the Government of Cyprus requires all non-EU citizens, and that includes Americans, to obtain a residence permit from the Republic of Cyprus Migration Department. Again, that’s if you stay longer than 90 days, which will be tempting. Often Americans will get permits just from the Turkish Cypriots and not the Republic of Cyprus. They’ll stop you at the airport. It’s a mess.
U.S.A, Canada, U.K, Australia, New Zealand have there own custom laws with Ireland.
