It may seem wacky, but shops in Cyprus are closed Wednesday after 2pm, and all day Sunday. Well okay, that doesn’t sound wacky, but can be frustrating if you’re not prepared for these hours in Cyprus.
Opening hours in Cyprus are generally 8am to 1pm, and 4pm to 7:30pm. Notice the “siesta” hours in between. When you dine in Cyprus, you’ll understand how refreshing this nap can be after a great meal.
These are summer hours in Cyprus, but in spring and autumn, shops close at 7pm. Expect shops to be open on Friday till 8pm or 8:30.
Banks are generally open from 8:15am to 1pm Monday through Friday. Banks are closed weekends and public holidays.
